Theory of reasoned action
This model developed by Fishbein and Ajzen defines the links between beliefs, attitudes, norms, intentions, and behaviors of individuals. Fishbein and Ajzen , p. According to TRA, the attitude of a person towards a behavior is determined by his beliefs on the consequences of this behavior, multiplied by his evaluation of these consequences. Moreover, behavioral intention is also determined by the subjective norms that are themselves determined by the normative beliefs of an individual and by his motivation to comply to the norms. TRA also claims that all other factors which influence the behavior only do so in an indirect way by influencing the attitude or subjective norms.
