High speed serial link design (SERDES) Introduction, Architectures and applications

By David R. Ogilvie, Amanull. The material focuses on HSS devices, and the consolidation of related topics into a single text.

Chip and system designers using HSS devices must have detailed knowledge of both the features and functions of the HSS device, and the applications in which they are used. Also designers must have a working knowledge of related subjects, including: reference clock architectures, signal integrity, power dissipation, and test features and functions.

The authors consolidate these topics with a specific focus on HSS devices. This approach provides the chip designer sufficient background information for using HSS devices on their chips. The chapters can be viewed as four distinct sections. The first section relates to the features, functions, and design of HSS devices. Second are chapters that describe the features and functions of protocol logic used to implement various network protocol interface standards.

The third section covers specialized topics related to HSS cores. Finally, characteristics of typical design kit models to facilitate integration within the chip design are discussed. Now mastering French verbs is easier than ever. From the first edition: 'This textbook covers, clearly and concisely, the core material of a DSP course From the first edition: 'An ideal textbook for students, it will also be a useful reference for engineers working on the development of signal processing systems An excellent authorship and an equally excellent editorial content and planning of the subject matter have helped to make the book an ideal acquisition for readers passionately devoted to the task of equipping themselves with tools that will enable them to design and analyze most digital signal processing systems.

From the first edition: 'This single, comprehensive volume covers all the major topics This fully-revised edition covers all the major topics of digital signal processing DSP design and analysis in one volume.

Many new examples and exercises are included, more detail is given in mathematical derivations, and new do-it-yourself sections in each chapter provide hands-on experience of the relevant tools and results. Click here to Download Digital signal processing: System analysis and design Ebook now.

Pharmacopoeia, according to Webster, is an authoritative book containing a list and description of drugs and medicinal products together with the standards established under law for their production, dispensation, and use. It's a book about the interplay of plants, insects, animals, and humans, and it suggests how toxins shaped ecological systems. It's also about the people who for thousands of years investigated the properties of plants and learned to use them for healing, for their effects on the mind, and for poisons.

Pendell writes about such topics as tobacco, opium, beer, wine, alcohol, and kava, exploring their history, taxonomy, pharmacology, and effects. The book contains a prodigious amount of scholarly and technical detail, yet Pendell writes with wit and inventiveness. Engaging black-and-white illustrations and provocative quotes complement the text. George Cohen. Pendell provides a beautifully crafted bridge between these two worlds.

The magic he shares is that the voices are spoken and heard both ways; we communicate with plants and they with us. This book is a moving and poetic presentation of this dialogue. Alexander T. The data concern trade between residents and non-residents of countries and are reported within the framework of the Manual on Statistics of International Trade in Services.

This book includes summary tables of trade patterns listing the main trading partners for each country and by broad service category. Series are shown in US dollars and cover the period In this stimulating new work of historical interpretation, Anne Pierce shows convincingly that Wilsonian principles were an essential ingredient of America's Cold War foreign policy. It can never be said with certainty that Wilson would have been a cold warrior had he lived, but, thanks to this book, it is now clear that his ideas were unmistakably present in the outlook of Harry Truman.

By arguing powerfully that the Cold War cannot be comprehended in terms of realism or idealism alone, Pierce significantly enlarges our understanding of the role of realism and idealism in 20th century U. Johns University. Compares the ideals and policies of Wilson and Truman and reveals Truman's brilliance as a foreign policy strategist and his fervency as a spokesperson for American ideals. Rob Grader is a writer, actor, massage therapist, and committed cuddling devotee.

As a licensed massage therapist for over ten years, he has relieved many an aching back working at many of the leading spas in Manhattan. He lives in New York City where he cuddles the days away with his wife Karen.

The Three T's of Cuddling There is no wrong way to cuddle, but there are ways to make your cuddles more intimate and enjoyable. Here are the three T's of cuddling to keep in mind, which can be applied to almost any cuddling position in the book. TALK-once you are physically communicating with your partner through the cuddle, verbal communication will have even more of an impact.

From goofy pillow talk to those quiet monumental conversations about hopes, dreams, and wishes, share what you are thinking and feeling-the impact of your cuddles will be even more intense. TOUCH-While your bodies may be tied up in knots around each other in some of these positions, your hands always have at least some range of motion to touch your partner.

There are at least four basic types of touch that work particularly well with cuddles: caressing, tickling, scratching, and light fingertip touch-use them all! In whatever position you find yourselves, take advantage of any opportunity to let the full weight of your body rest effortlessly on your partner. Whether it is your whole body or just an arm or leg, allow the full heft of your bodies to make the cuddle more comforting and substantial.

A Note about the Positions and the Descriptions One of the magical things about cuddling is that anyone can do it. It is not limited by gender, age, size, or acrobatic abilities. One of the not so magical things about writing a book is that in order to be clear and understandable, you are forced to use pronouns like he and she.

For the sake of clarity, I have described each cuddle with genders to correspond with the accompanying illustration. In reality, just about every role in every cuddle in this book can be performed by any partner in any relationship.

Depending on you and your partner's size and body types, you may find there are a few positions in the book that are not a perfect fit for you. In these rare cases, I would encourage you to experiment and communicate. Shift a leg here, an arm there, roll a bit more to the side-whatever it might take for you to be comfortable and at ease in that position. Above all else, a cuddle must be comfortable for it to be comforting.

He is lying on his back, she is lying on her side completely resting all of her weight against him. He gently hugs her upper body with his arm, supporting her neck and head. She hugs him with her upper arm and tucks her lower arm into her chest so it rests between their two bodies. She may feel the urge to slide this arm under his body to give him a complete hug, but if you maintain that position for too long, her arm will eventually go numb from the weight of his body, and it is not particularly comfortable for him.

You will find your legs intermingling; let them rest wherever is most comfortable. This position is all about maximum contact and maximum comfort.

This one also works like a dream on the couch. You are both lying on your side facing each other, head to toe. Your knees are slightly bent with the bottom knee lying slightly forward of the other knee, leaving your inner thigh to form a perfect pillow for your partner's head.

This is a surprisingly intimate position that is ideal for light caressing and sensual tickling on the lower back, behind, and thighs. This book is absolutely brilliant It tells you exactly what to focus on, and cuts out extraneous details Tags search words : Casca - The Pirate download pdf rapidshare mediafire fileserve, 4shared torrent download Casca - The Pirate ebook Casca - The Pirate ebook download Casca - The Pirate book download book online Casca - The Pirate download download ebook pdf download engineering ebook download ebook read download ebook reader Casca - The Pirate ebook download ebook downloads for children Casca - The Pirate ebook for nook.

By Felicia Cohn, Marla E. Salmon, John D. As many as 20 to 25 percent of American adults—or one in every four people—have been victimized by, witnesses of, or perpetrators of family violence in their lifetimes. Surprisingly, many assume that health professionals are deliberately turning a blind eye to this traumatic social problem.

The fact is, very little is being done to educate health professionals about family violence. Health professionals are often the first to encounter victims of abuse and neglect, and therefore they play a critical role in ensuring that victims—as well as perpetrators—get the help they need. Yet, despite their critical role, studies continue to describe a lack of education for health professionals about how to identify and treat family violence.

And those that have been trained often say that, despite their education, they feel ill-equipped or lack support from by their employers to deal with a family violence victim, sometimes resulting in a failure to screen for abuse during a clinical encounter. Equally problematic, the few curricula in existence often lack systematic and rigorous evaluation. This makes it difficult to say whether or not the existing curricula even works. Confronting Chronic Neglect offers recommendations, such as creating education and research centers, that would help raise awareness of the problem on all levels.

In addition, it recommends ways to involve health care professionals in taking some responsibility for responding to this difficult and devastating issue. Perhaps even more importantly, Confronting Chronic Neglect encourages society as a whole to share responsibility. Health professionals alone cannot solve this complex problem. Responding to victims of family violence and ultimately preventing its occurrence is a societal responsibility.

The simplest method of transferring data through the inputs or outputs of a silicon chip is to directly connect each bit of the datapath from one chip to the next chip. Once upon a time this was an acceptable approach. However, one aspect and perhaps the only aspect of chip design which has not changed during the career of the authors is Moore's Law, which has dictated substantial increases in the number of circuits that can be manufactured on a chip.

In this thesis various line driver topologies were analysed to identify a topology suited for a high-speed low-voltage operating environment. This thesis starts of by introducing a relatively new high-speed communication Device called SerDes. SerDes is used in wired chip-to-chip communications and operates by converting a parallel data stream in a serial data stream that can be then transmitted at a higher bit rate, existing SerDes devices operate up to A matching SerDes device at the destination will then convert the serial data stream back into a parallel data stream to be read by the destination ASIC. SerDes typically uses a line driver with a differential output.
